Andrew J. Bloom Joins Hudson Realty Capital as Director and General Counsel
Manhattan Resident Possesses Strong Legal Background and Comprehensive Knowledge of Real Estate Finance

NEW YORK, N.Y., Sept. 6, 2006 - Hudson Realty Capital LLC (HRC) of New York, a real estate opportunity fund manager, is pleased to announce that Andrew J. Bloom has joined the firm as Director and General Counsel. In this position, Bloom will focus on all aspects of the business, including structuring transactions, originations, business development, fund administration, fund raising, and asset management.

Prior to joining HRC, Bloom spent eight years in the real estate practice group of Sidley Austin LLP of New York (and its predecessors), where he was involved in a wide range of complex commercial real estate transactions including financings, acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures relating to all asset types and classes. During that time, Bloom represented real estate opportunity funds, REITs, investment banks, and real estate developers. While at Sidley, he also worked in the Legal and Compliance Department of Credit Suisse First Boston providing advice and support to the Real Estate Finance and Securitization Group.

A resident of Manhattan, Bloom earned his juris doctor in May 1998 from the Fordham University School of Law, where he served as Associate Editor of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal. In addition, he graduated cum laude from the University at Albany, State University of New York with a bachelor's degree in rhetoric and communication.

Since its formation in 2002, HRC has closed more than $1 billion in debt and equity transactions and expects to deploy another $400 million in 2006. HRC's activities include originating, participating in, servicing, restructuring and/or acquiring high-yield, special situation debt and mezzanine loans, as well as investing on a leveraged basis directly in real estate and acquiring under-performing real estate assets and other real estate-related instruments. HRC's objective is to create and manage a diversified portfolio of loans and real estate, with a long-range goal of generating high, risk-adjusted returns for its investors.
